As we close out Earth month, I wanted to share some ways I am trying to help. I made a commitment to go single use plastic free. I am not completely there yet but have made huge strides. I discovered a company called Blueland that makes plastic free and refillable cleaning products. They have toilet cleaning tablets, laundry tablets, dish washing powder and other cleaning products that are very effective. For my hair care, I discovered Hairstory. They have a shampoo and conditioner in one. It saves both time and water. They also have refillable containers for their shampoo and styling cream. Plaine products offers refillable hair care, body care and facial care products. When you are finished with your product, you can send the empty container back to them to be washed and reused. Bite offers toothpaste tablets, refillable deodorant, bar soap, and refillable body moisturizer.  Thanks to these companies, lots of my personal care products are now single use plastic free. I also love that they use non toxic and earth friendly ingredients. Another way I'm trying to help is to eat a plant based diet. Again, I'm not 100% there but very close. My goal is to eat an entirely plant based diet.  These are things I can manage now. These are things I want to do. I'm hoping to do a lot more when I am able.
